Air Fryer Samosas

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground lamb or beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoon garam masala spice blend
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 package store-bought or homemade samosa dough
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground lamb or beef over medium heat until it is browned and cooked through.
  3. Add the onion, garlic, jalapeno, and ginger to the skillet and cook until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the garam masala spice blend, peas, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat and let the filling cool.
  6. To assemble the samosas, divide the samosa dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.
  7. On a lightly floured surface, roll each ball of dough into a 6-inch circle.
  8. Place a heaping tablespoon of the filling in the center of each dough circle.
  9. Brush the edges of the dough with the beaten egg. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and press the edges to seal.
  10. Place the samosas in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the basket.
  11. Cook the samosas for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  12. Serve the samosas hot. Enjoy!
